
Biography
Pablo Godoy-Chaves is a Colombian-American composer and multimedia designer, born in Summit, New Jersey, and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. His passion for music began when he saw its impact on film, video games, and other forms of multimedia. He began his formal training in piano at the age of 16, Pablo started piano lessons under the Colombian pianist, Ruth Marulanda Salazar. At the age of 19, he moved to Davie, Florida, where he attended McFatter Technical College, and graduated with a degree in Digital Media/Graphic Design.
He continued his piano lessons at University Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale, with Marisol Ibanez, and later in 2019, he moved to Miami, where he started studying music at Miami Dade College, and in 2025, he graduated with an Associate of Arts in music. Pablo is always in search of new ideas and opportunities to collaborate with musicians and getting more involved in both, the video game and film industries. Being a student at the New World School of the Arts (NWSA), gave him the opportunity to score the theme for the VR video game “Ventanita”, and the award winning animated short film: “Gator Bites”, where it received the Audience Award at Florida Supercon in 2025, and screened as an official selection at the Epic ACG Fest in 2025, and due to its success, it will be screened in 2026.
His music heroes are: John Williams, Hans Zimmer, James Horner, Alan Silvestri, Brian Tyler, Bear McCreary, Jerry Goldsmith, Danny Elfman, Randy Newman, Alexandre Desplat, Inon Zur, and Sarah Schachner.
